The family business of my grandfather the late Chikudou Kosuge,
father Shouchikudou Kosuge and his younger brother Kougetsu Kosuge are
the bamboo craftwork.
Their aesthetic sense and
the technique are the number one in Japan, I think. In other words, the
best in the world at least, although each style differs.
No one inherits their bamboo craftwork, then only my dream left is to
establish the bamboo art museum of their wonderful works.
It is difficult to realize the museum, because the work disperses
and to maintain them is difficult owing to the durability of bamboo.
I decide the establishment of the Virtual Museum on the Internet.
Unfortunately father Shouchikudou had passed away in November,
2003.
